MY OWN GHOST
Roaming in a dreamland,
where I dream that you believe in me,
just as I have always believed in you.
Rumors have it that God has one more vacancy
in the heavens for an angel to brighten the lavender skies,
knowing it was you the first time I gazed into your eyes.
Time has its own demise,
and one day shall run out,
until the end,
lets worry about what life is truly about.
Friendly smiles have became hard to find,
most are hidden behind locked doors and closed blinds.
Afraid to walk alone,
shuttering with fright,
they cover their faces beneath the blankets until,
they see morning light.
I say let it all go and try to thrive,
life is simply to short be a ghost,
while you are still alive,
love me again at least one last time.
